So if planning to tip, how much should i tip is a quite common question.  There are some suggestions of tipping amount: US$ 1- 3 for bellboy at hotels, 5 -10% of your bill at restaurants or coffee shops, US$ 3 - 5 for waiter at bars, and US$ 5 – 10 at massage or spa shops.

The complicated thing is tipping tour guide and drivers, persons contributing a great part to the success of your tours. Normally, the suggested amount is from US$5 - 10 per person, but if  you are on group of 5 persons or more, the reasonable contribution for  gratuity should run around US$ 3 – 7 per passenger per day.

Yes, you do need travel insurance for Cambodia although it is a safe country to travel to. But travel insurance covers you for the unexpected problems. If you find yourself needing medical care, missing a flight or having lost something you’ll be pleased that your travel insurance was in place.

There are two main gateways to Cambodia, including Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. If you want to travel through Cambodia from north to south or vice versa, you could choose either Phnom Penh City or Siem Reap City, where almost  90% of international flights land in and take off.  However, if focusing on  Cambodia beach only, you should start your tours in Sihanoukville, which has flight connection with major cities of Southeast  Asian Countries.

Going on classic tours, you can bring what is suitable for you — that can be  backpack, duffel bag suitcases. The rule changes  on adventure tours that we strongly  recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag instead of  suitcases.  Bear in mind that you will be responsible for transporting your own luggage on and off buses and trains, as well as up and down hotel stairwells.
