Normally, the suggested amount is from US$5 - 10 per person, but if  you are on group of 5 persons or more, the reasonable contribution for  gratuity should run around US$ 3 – 7 per passenger per day.

There are three main gateways to Laos, including  Luang Prabang, Vientiane and Pakse. If you want to travel through Laos from north to centre or vice versa, you could choose either Luang Prabang Town  or Vientiane City, where almost  90% of international flights land in and take off.  However, if focusing on central Laos only, you should start your tours in Vientiane City, which has flight connection with few cities of Southeast  Asian Countries. As a hot spot of Laos, Luang Prabang also catches many travellers’attention. Moreover, if you want to explore Laos from north to south, the great way is to start your tour in Luang Prabang and end it in Pakse or vice versa.

Going on classic tours, you can bring what is suitable for you -— that can be  backpack, duffel bag suitcases. The rule changes  on adventure tours that we strongly  recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag instead of  suitcases.  Bear in mind that you will be responsible for transporting your own luggage on and off buses and trains, as well as up and down hotel stairwells.
